I usually never drop my phone or phone calls but this Otter Box is soooo good at protecting, my iPhone phone signal is a little bit weaker because of all the "protection"... I 've had phone cases that protected but didn't reduce my phone signal... If I had the iPhone 4, I could under stand... It's a great product, super protection from a dropping accident, I just wish it didn't interfear with my phone signal...

The Defender is a great product and offers a much higher level of protection than any other case I've seen, but it's not foolproof. I have probably dropped my iphone about 20 times since got it in Nov. However, on Christmas eve I had it laying in my lap and stood up. My iphone dropped to the tile floor and when I picked it up the LCD screen was white with blue and red lines running the length of the screen on the right side. I took it to a repair shop and had to have the screen replaced. I too have the oil slick issue but its not a big deal to me. The biggest problem is the reason that I have dropped it so much is that every time I have it in the belt clip and happen to bump the belt clip even with my arm or hand the phone will fall out of the clip. Since the screen replacement and the belt clip issue I just carry it in my pocket. I work construction and have pretty much ruined or broken every phone I've had, but thought that this case would maybe help this one survive. Sorry folks but the jury is still out.

Alright, ordered the Otterbox defender for my 3G. Finally came in the mail and I was very disappointed as soon as I opened it. First of all....it doesn't even come in the original packaging. Came in a plastic sleeve. Come on now, can we say bootleg? The plastic on the case was all banged up and dented up as if it was already used for a few months. If this was a used item, it would have been nice if this vender placed the word "used" somewhere where I could see it. if it's there someone please point it out to me. I don't want used product, if I would have known I would have paid more from Walmart or something. 1st bad experience ordering from Amazon.com, well I should say more like this bootleg company. since I wasted my time & money ordering this, I will waste a lil bit of yours.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOOOOOOYYYYYYY!!!!!! FART that's what I thought of my experience. I flag this vendor! no more! no more! Get away, shoo!

When u received phone, it was a dirty and I had to request another. The second one received was the se condition, but better. So far i enjoying it.
